In May and June we have some very cool Solar events coming up, so get a solar filter for your telescope and check them out! Even if you don’t have a telescope there are lots of great viewing options available.
On May 21st the West Coast of the US will be able to see an annular eclipse. Click on the map at your approximate location to give you the times of the eclipse in UMT (remember that, during Daylight Savings Time on the West Coast, it is UMT -7.)
And on June 5th is the Transit of Venus, which won’t happen again in our lifetime (unless we REALLY figure out how to increase lifespans dramatically.) More info here:
